Domestic Terror Strikes Midwest Furry Convention

Thousands have been evacuated from the Rosemont Hyatt outside Chicago according to The Chicago Tribune.  Police believe it was intentional.
"Disrupted was an annual weekendlong convention called Midwest FurFest, which celebrates art, literature and performance based around anthropomorphic animals, draws thousands of people every year, according to the Midwest FurFest website."
Who would do such a thing?  These sorts of conventions had no political agenda it's just a bunch of folks getting together to have fun with a common interest.  This is something that seems a bit weird, the attack that is, and it's very disconcerting.  Nineteen people are reported to have been taken to the hospital.
"The manner by which the substance, which was consistent with powdered chlorine, was released “suggests an intentional act,” according the statement from Rosemont police, who are investigating the incident as a criminal matter."
Authorities aren't calling this a terror attack at the moment.  This could be the first trial run of a single crackpot.   Whatever the case law enforcement should treat the matter seriously or there will likely be more attacks.
